Registered Psychologist

I am a registered psychologist who truly enjoys working with adults, adolescents and children. My work history and volunteer experiences have highlighted the diversity of people and I strive to be non-judgmental and respectful of the beliefs, morals, culture and values of all people.

I view people’s challenges from a biopsychosocial, family/client centered, trauma informed lens and strive to choose evidence based therapeutic approaches that best fit the needs of the individuals that I see.

I  have specialized training in CBT, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and Play Therapy. Often I incorporate Meditation/Relaxation and Mindfulness into my treatment plans. I have experience helping people with multiple challenges but the most common include chronic pain, workplace issues, communication/interpersonal challenges, career transitions, trauma (including PTSD), depression, anxiety, grief and loss.

I feel the sorrow of people and also share in their joy and excitement when they succeed and experience improvements in their quality of life.

I have been working in the mental health field for eight years, providing services to children, adolescents, adults, families, and the elderly. I love working with individuals from all walks of life, and my broad professional experience includes work with young offenders, inmates, hospitalized patients, and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have also been fortunate enough to have volunteered as a crisis line worker at Distress Centre Calgary for over two years.

My areas of specialty include
Anxiety, Parent-child attachment, Divorce/Separation, Trauma, Depression, Self-esteem and shame resiliency, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Returning to work

One of my favorite quotes is: “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.”

Registered Social Worker

I am a Registered Social Worker with a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Calgary with 15 years experience working in the mental health field with a variety of clients in different therapeutic settings.

I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and families who are experiencing complex mental health concerns including behavioral and mood disorders, somatization, attachment, grief and loss, and trauma.

I take a collaborative approach to therapy, by empowering individuals and families to rely on their own resilience and strength to develop their preferred way of living.

Through a supportive therapeutic relationship, I will explore unhelpful cycles of behaviors, negative self-talk, or complicated systemic family patterns hindering your ability to move forward productively and achieve your desired goals.

I will work with you to identify the steps needed to manifest concrete and lasting change.
